BIO

 

Rogerio Weis Naressi is a Brazilian audio producer, musician, composer and educator currently living in Washington DC. Rogerio holds a masters degree in Audio Technology from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music (concentration in Sound Production) from Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brazil).  He worked for many years as a recording and mixing engineer in the recording studios Gramofone and 8 Sons (Curitiba-Brazil), where he had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented musicians in the country and became fluent in many genres and styles, including MPB, Jazz, Classical, Rock, Folk, among others.  In 2013 Rogerio moved to the US to pursue his masters. Now he teaches Audio Technology at American University and is the keyboardist for the DC-based band Color Palette.  He released three albums with his original music: The Pan-American Experiment (2016); Dois (2018) and Vislumbres, all with the collaboration of musicians and engineers from Washington DC, NYC, Brazil, and surrounding areas. Eclectic and experimental, the albums explore different combinations of genres, styles and recording and mixing techniques.
